Neil Hamburger Will Never Sell Out!

By

For nearly two decades the identity of Neil Hamburger has been a well-guarded secret. With a greasy disheveled phlegmy approach to comedy Neil Hamburger has amused and disgusted audiences across the globe playing dives, off kilter venues and even playing Madison Square Garden in New York City. An exceptionally revealing recent interview (http://tinyurl.com/oqr5zk9) finds Neil Hamburger’s creator Gregg Turkington candidly speaking about his early years. SUSC was pleasantly surprised to find Turkington shedding away the Neil Hamburger character for a quick interview in advance of his CREPE PLACE SHOW SATURDAY JULY 25th more info here: http://tinyurl.com/onbyla7

Kyle Kinane: Good at Comedy, Bad at Bullshit.

By

By just listening to his voice, you would think Kyle Kinane is a crusty old dude in his advanced years. Truth is, Kinane is far younger than that, although also, far crustier. With a punk rock ethos and a knack for hilarious takes both sober and drunk, Kinane exudes a kind of wisdom that far belies his years.

Kinane’s won @midnite 7 times, the “voice” on Comedy Central that introduces all their programing (since 2011), a favorite on a wide spectrum of podcasts including WTF, The Nerdist and the Adam Corolla Show and a veteran of comedy specials. SUSC joins …

Don McMillan: Old School Lucky Charm

By

Here at SUSC we have a thing for Bay Area comics from the late 80s and early 90s. Don McMillan was definitely a golden boy. His background was Electrical Engineering, where he was instrumental in designing early Microprocessors. He broke away from his day job when he won the 1991 SF International Comedy Competition. Next came dominating on the extremely popular Star Search, securing the $100,000 Grand Championship in 1993. Multiple television appearances, sold out shows around the country and starring in 15 national commercials for Budeweiser, McMillan has stories to tell.

Tim Lee: Comedian, Scientist and Maverick.

By

Tim Lee already had a PhD under his belt when he performed comedy at The Brainwash in San Francisco for the first time. 12 years later his YouTube videos have multi-millions of hits, Lee sells out venues around the world and is a regular at corporate gigs for companies like Microsoft. What SUSC found unique is that Lee blazed his own trail, booking his own venues and cultivating an audience that liked smart and funny at the same time. Lee is also a member of the Incredibly Handsome Comedians Tour, but don’t hold that against him, he’s actually a …
